Asked to run White Light AC?

A server you play on wants to run a PC check. Here’s exactly what happens, what the scan reads, and what it never touches.

01

You get a PIN

Server staff send you a one-time 8-character PIN. It only works once and expires, and it ties the scan to that server only.

02

You run the scanner

Open White Light AC Scanner, enter the PIN and start the scan. Windows will ask for administrator permission (see below why).

03

It scans and uploads

The scan reads your system and uploads one report. A standard scan usually takes well under a few minutes; deep mode takes longer.

04

Staff review it

Only the staff of the server that gave you the PIN can open the report. They make the decision, not the software.

What the scan reads

System identity
Windows version, hardware model and serial-derived hardware ID, boot/install times.
Running software
Process names, paths and window titles; modules loaded inside FiveM.
FiveM & GTA V
Plugins, mods, proxy DLLs and recent CitizenFX log lines that match cheat signatures.
File names
Names and hashes of executables in Downloads, Desktop, Temp and similar folders. File contents are never uploaded.
Execution history
Prefetch, BAM, UserAssist, MuiCache and Recent items (program names and times).
Tamper signals
Service states, event-log clears, USN journal state, Defender exclusions and detections.
Hardware
Connected device IDs, loaded kernel drivers and USB storage history.
Game accounts
Steam IDs / persona names and Rockstar profile IDs. No passwords or tokens.

What it never touches

  • Passwords
  • Browser data
  • Messages
  • Discord tokens
  • Personal files or file contents

The scan is read-only and runs once. It doesn’t modify your PC, doesn’t stay running, and doesn’t upload file contents.

Questions

Common questions from players

Does it change or delete anything?

No. The scan is read-only. It doesn’t delete, quarantine or modify anything on your PC, and it doesn’t install a background service or driver.

Does it upload my files?

No. For files it records names and hashes only — never their contents. Your documents, photos and other personal files are not read or uploaded.

Why does it need administrator rights?

Windows only lets administrators read some of the history the scan checks: Prefetch, BAM, the Security event log, the USN journal and Windows Defender data. If you decline, the scan still runs but the report is clearly marked “partial coverage” for staff.

Does it keep running afterwards?

No. When the scan finishes and uploads, it’s done. Nothing keeps running in the background.

What if I used mods or ReShade?

Graphics mods and ReShade are recognised and listed separately from cheats. Whether they’re allowed is up to your server’s rules.

What if I think a result is wrong?

Talk to the staff of the server that asked for the check. Reports show the evidence behind every finding, so it can be reviewed together.

Who can see my report?

The staff of the server that issued your PIN (or the staff member running an in-person check) can open the full report. If your PC or game accounts are checked again by another community that uses White Light AC, its staff can see a summary of earlier checks — date, community, result, what was found and the Windows install date — plus any flags, but not the full report. White Light AC operators can access reports only where needed to run and secure the service.

Server staff: link this page when you send a PIN

Players who understand the check are more likely to run it. Share this page together with the PIN. Want to see what you’ll get back? Open the demo report.
